Where is Vida Glow’s Marine Collagen sourced from?

Vida Glow Natural Marine Collagen is an upcycled ingredient responsibly sourced from the skin of fish that would otherwise be discarded by the food industry. This is a more sustainable practice, transforming a waste product into a premium material and gives visibility over sourcing.  Vida Glow uses responsibly sourced marine collagen from open-water fish farms in Europe and is well-respected for its quality and clinically proven results.

Open water farming means we don’t place a burden on any one fish species and allows us to create the optimal amino acid profile for maximum efficacy. This ensures we deliver the highest quality marine collagen, and as mentioned every batch undergoes quality control checks that guarantee the purity of raw materials. Additionally, our collagen is third party tested to confirm it's free from contaminants, hormones, microbes, and heavy metals like mercury.

Vida Glow uses a combination of Type 1 and Type 3 collagen, which is derived in this way from the skin of fish. Type 1 and 3 collagen are best for skin benefits. Marine collagen is absorbed 1.5 x more efficiently compared to other sources of collagen and has a higher bioavailability – making marine collagen a superior form of collagen for fast, visible results. And this is why we chose this method and sourcing.
